Mayor Duterte Could Surpass the Voting Records of Previous Presidents

Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte could be the first majority President of the Republic of the Philippines after some analysts revealed during media interviews that the tough-talking Mayor may surpass the voting record of the most popular presidents in recent history, Pres. Benigno Aquino III and former Pres. Joseph Estrada.

Richard Javad Heydarian, a political science professor at De La Salle University, "with 60 percent of votes almost counted, I think its almost safe to say na mananalo si Mayor Digong.

In an interview with Mel Tiangco and Vicky Morales, the brilliant political analysts noted that "Ang question lang dito gaano ka large yung kanyang mandato. Ang kutob namin this could be between 40-45 percent. If he goes to 45 percent eto yung pinakamataas ever for any presidential candidate,” Heydarian stated.

Based upon the latest unofficial tally of PPCRV, Mayor Duterte already more than 14.5 million votes while his closest rival Mar Roxas only get 8.7 million.
