Karen Davila Disappointed with Anti-Duterte Ad Airing
One of the country's veteran and well-respected broadcast journalist Karen Davila of ABS-CBN condemns the disturbing Anti-Duterte ad which was aired on Friday night during primetime featuring some young children airing their political views against Mayor Rody Duterte.

Karen Davila could not contain her emotion as she tweeted about her disappointments with her mother station, ABS-CBN. She joined the long lists of celebrities and journalists who calls on the attentions of MTRCB to check the controversial commercial ads of the Kapamilya Channel.
Some netizen also expressed anger to the country's most popular TV network for accepting the disturbing advertisement placed by a group of people who wanted to derail the victory of the Davao City mayor by airing an ads that is contrary not only for the morals of the Filipinos but also for the unfair airing of spliced videos which put a bad image to a presidential candidate.
A netizen also hopes that ABS-CBN will stop airing this kind of advertisement that clearly made to destroy someone. Based upon the broadcasting code of the Philippines Article 8 Section 2 (R.A. 9006 or Fair Election), on Political Propaganda "No program or sponsor shall be allowed to manifestly favor or oppose any candidate or political party."
The broadcasting code said that any program or sponsor that try to destro a political candidate is not allowed by law. Some sources also revealed that ABS-CBN allegedly received the 20M pesos worth of anti-Duterte ad which was refused by other networks. Aside from ABS-CBN, GMA7 also aired the said controversial ad against Mayor Rody Duterte.
