ABS-CBN Airing Anti-Duterte Ads Using Children Enraged Netizen (Video)

The country's once most respected media company, ABS-CBN became the target of netizens who saw their latest commercial video featuring young children being used in a highly controversial TV ads attacking Mayor Rodrigo Duterte who is now considered as the front-runner presidential candidate.

The controversial anti-Duterte TV ads was shown on national TV on Friday featuring young children making statements while videos of spliced Duterte pronouncements during rallies were also added.

Netizens took to Facebook to protest the latest ads against Mayor Rody Duterte which also confirmed the previous warning of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano that ABS-CBN is set to air an ad allegedly worth P20 million a few days before the election. According to the running mate of Mayor Duterte, the ad is considered as one of the last strategy of the mayor's opponent to destroy his reputation.

Aside from Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano, veteran columnist of Philippine Star and blogger at Chuvaness.com also Cecille Zamora-Van Straten warned of the same incident. She was quoted as saying "Inside Info: 20M worth of anti-Duterte spots to be aired for one night only by ABS-CBN on Friday. It was rejected by other station." Van Straten (@chuvaness) tweeted on Wednesday, May 4.

Due to the disturbing content of the video ads using children which was aired on ABS-CBN during primetime, netizens took to Facebook to air their sentiments of the controversial anti-duterte ads.
