The highly anticipated May 2016 national elections in the Philippines started its unofficial counting for the top national positions in the country which starts with the President, down to the Vice President and senatorial candidates.

Presidential candidates Mayor Rodrigo Duterte, Sen. Grace Poe, Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago, VP Binay, and DILG Sec. Mar Roxas are hoping that one of them will succeed the presidency of Pres. Aquino. Mayor Duterte is currently leading in the initial unofficial results for President.
In the Vice Presidential race, Sen. Bongbong Marcos leads against his rivals but there's a long way to go for the official results.
