Pres. Duterte Receives Standing Ovation After Apology from Jewish Community

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte received numerous applause and standing ovation from the Jewish Community during a recent visit in one of the group's gathering. Pres. Duterte apologized personally to the Jewish community because of his controversial Hitler remark which offended the Jewish community.

The 71-year-old Pres. Rody Duterte made headlines earlier he made a contrasting statement about himself and Hitler who killed millions of Jews. Although the President did not meant to hurt the Jews, the local and international news media twisted everything which put Pres. Duterte in a bad light.

Due to the humbleness of Pres. Rody Duterte, he personally apologized to the Jewish community during a gathering at Beit Yaacov Synagogue in Makati City.

The first President from Mindanao also explained to the Jewish Community the reasons why his mouth always spoke controversial remarks. Pres. Duterte also admitted that he did not read the prepared speech in front of the Jewish because it would not show his real emotions.

According to Paul Rosenberg, the President of the Jewish Association of the Philippines, the apology of Pres. Duterte is sincere and the members of the group also believed in the sincerity of Pres. Duterte's apology.
