Alleged Drug Protector Iloilo City Mayor Jed Mabilog Lives in a Mansion
One of the alleged drug lord/protector named by President Rody Duterte during a televised speech in Davao City is no other thatn Liberal Party local bigwig and Iloilo City Mayor Jed Mabilog.
According to some information given by some netizens online, Mayor Jed Mabilog is a cousin of former Senate Pres. Frankline Drilon and lives in a mansion that sits in the banks of Iloilo River.
The Iloilo City Mayor was included in the alleged list of narco-politicians involved in illegal drug trades in the Philippines. He was also one of those politicians who extensively campaigned for the losing presidential candidate Mar Roxas.
A blog post written by Manuel Mejorada revealed that the palatial house owned by Mayor Jed Mabilog of Iloilo City features a P90 million Esplanade but the owner of the said mansion, declared the entire mansion to be worth only P3 million on his 2014 SALN.
Although the mansion owned by the Iloilo City Mayor worth less compared to some estimates, architects and engineers revealed that the value of the mansion could be in the range of P50-70 million, considering that the windows used are the expensive Kenneth and Mock glass windows.
Some experts noted that the windows alone would be worth P7 million considering the size of the house.
The issue of the alleged multi-million mansion was already answered by Iloilo City Mayor Jed Mabilog as he noted that it came from his inheritance from his mother but some netizens made some rebutall and noted that his mother was never rich because she worked as "mayor doma" for a long tme and the lot where the mansion stands was only donated by the Consing family.
Mayor Mabilog also points to the work of his wife as an accountant in Canada as the source of his wealth but some netizens still doubts his statements.
