Philippines Largest Drug Rehab Facility's Soft Opening to be Held on Oct. 15

The country's largest drug rehabilitation facility constructed by the Duterte administration to facilitate the increasing number of drug dependents will be having its soft opening this coming October 15, 2016.

The drug facility is considered as one of the four drug rehab facilities constructed by the Duterte administration. The first drug facility is located in a 10-hectare land inside the Fort Magsaysay in Nueva Ecija.

According to the initial reports posted by various news media organization, the drug facility in Nueva Ecija could accommodate up to 10,000 drug dependents.

The mega treatment drug facility in Nueva Ecija will employ around 300 trained personnel. The Department of Health (DOH) revealed to the media that the drug facility was funded by a Chinese businessman.

The DOH also announced that by the month of November they will start the transfer of various drug dependents from different facilities in Central Luzon to the mega rehab facility in Nueva Ecija, provided that the victims will agree with the terms and conditions given by the DOH.
