During the highly anticipated face-off between the camp of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte represented by his lawyer Atty. Panelo and Sen. Antonio Trillanes at the BPI Julia Vargas branch most media companies in the country as well as the major TV networks made some highlights on Sen. Antonio Trillanes but what really happened during that time was caught on camera.

In a video posted by GMA News on their official YouTube account, they revealed the real story behind the controversial face-off of the Duterte and Trillanes camps.
Sen. Antonio Trillanes claimed during an interview that Mayor Duterte is a coward after he failed to send a waiver that would allow the opening of his bank accounts with the BPI despite the lawyer's presentation of a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) to open the statement of accounts of the mayor.
In an interview Sen. Trillanes was quoted as saying "Walang silang ipinakita. Sinabi ko ito na ang aking affidavit. Sabi nila na pipirma sila ng waiver, wala silang dala... Talagang wala silang intensyon na pabuksan ito," Trillanes told Balitanghali in an interview after his brief meeting with Duterte's lawyer, Salvador Panelo, at the BPI Julia Vargas branch in Pasig City.
Atty. Panelo on his part downplayed the affidavit presented by Sen. Trillanes and told reporters that the source of Trillanes' information about Duterte's supposed millions was "double hearsay." The Duterte lawyer said that based on the senator's affidavit, he got the information from De Mesa who heard the information from another source.
The veteran lawyers also told reporters that he asked from BPI a certification that the mayor's bank accounts do not contain millions and he also saw the bank transactions of Mayor Duterte. The bank told Atty. Panelo and Sen. Trillanes that they need 7 days to issue the needed document by both parties "Bigyan niyo lang kami ng pagkakatoan na sagutin namin... Pag-aralan namin then we will respond accordingly," Panelo said, quoting the bank.
