Villafuerte's Election Protest Against Rep. Robredo Resurfaces Anew and Went Viral on Facebook

An old news regarding the plans of Nelly Villafuerte to file an election protest against Camarines Sur 3rd District Congresswoman-elect Leni Robredo. The congresswoman was accused by Villafuerte of vote-buying. According to Villafuerte she will not concede to Robredo, who won against her by a landslide.

According to Villafuerte "there was computerized cheating and there was massive use of resources in cash... There was distribution of P100,000 per barangay, "Villafuerte claimed.

Rep. Leni Robredo's opponent Nelly Villafuerte added that she will pursue a disqualification case she and her husband, losing gubernatorial candidate Luis Villafuerte Sr., filed against Rep. Robredo for alleged vote-buying.

The resurfaced news went viral on social media after it was posted online particularly in the Facebook Page supporting the candidacy of Mayor Rody Duterte which has more than 400,000 likes on Facebook.

According to some netizens, the main reason why the old news resurface was because of the alleged cheating done by the camp of Rep. Leni Robredo against Sen. Bongbong Marcos who is now trailing in the Vice Presidential race.

There are netizens who defended the congresswoman about the old news but some supporters of Sen. Marcos noted that the main reason why the news resurfaced was because of the involvement of Rep. Leni Robredo in alleged cheating involving the COMELEC and Smartmatic.
