Sec. Martin Andanar Answers Criticisms on Why Pres. Duterte's SONA Made Him Cry
Newly appointed Presidential Communications Operations (PCO) Sec. Martin Andanar was caught on hot water after he was critized by some netizens on his descriptions of President Rody Duterte's State of the Nation Address.
Before the highly anticipated first-ever SONA of President Rody Duterte, Sec. Martin Andanar described that the SONA speech written by Pres. Duterte himself "made him cry."
The former TV-6 journalist's descriptions of the emotional SONA of President Duterte did not sit well among the critics of the Duterte administration.
Instead of making people cry as what Andanar described, the first SONA of Pres. Duterte turned out to be long and there are times it became funny which is contrary to Kintanar's description of making somebody cry.
Due to the huge number of critics on social media, Sec. Martin Andanar finally speaks up and posted on Facebook his explanations about the "made him cry" comment.

"My reaction to PRRD's speech has caught so much attention on social and mainstrea media t the point of ridicule. Even my friends, including Prof. Antonio Contreras, have not spared my "crying" description. Anyhow to save me time from answering all of you, I'd like to share my answer to Prof. Contreras on why the cry. Huhuhuhu.
Sec. Martin Andanar also uploaded a screenshot of his answer to Prof. Contreras:
"The emotional moment is a very subjective one Prof. There are issue that im passionate about that were mentioned in the speech; unilateral ceasefire (no amount of medals or cash gifts will compensate lost lives), no separation between God and State, Muslim and Lumad Tv, Task Force Against Media Killings and the quote “And the filipino, disciplined, informed and involved, shall rise from the rubles of sorrow, apathy and pain so much that all mirrors of the world will reflect the face of a passion that will change this land.” Again, we all have our own ways and biases.
