University Professor Explains the Real Meaning of Libingan ng mga Bayani

A prominent university professor and considered as one of the most influential figure on social media with thousands of followers explained the real meaning of Libingan ng mga Bayani.

La Salle University Professor Antonio Contreras lambasts all who joined the Anti-Marcos protest who held rallies protesting the burial of the late President Marcos.

Prof. Contreras asked when will the stupidity of Filipinos will end after thousands of Anti-Marcos supporters held a protest rally in EDSA.

According to Contreras, the Libingan ng mga Bayani is just a name of the plac and explained it doesn't meant that when you give a hero's name, to a particular place everything that will be buried there should be heroes.

Ang Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) ay pangalan lamang ng isang lugar. Hindi porke may bayani sa pangalan doon ay bayani na lahat ang nakalibing. At sa kasaysayan, hindi ang LNMB ang plano sanang gawing himlayan ng mga bayani. Hindi po iyon natuloy.

At hindi po dahil ikaw ay binigyan ng military honors ay bayani ka na. Lahat po ng sundalo na namamatay ay binibigyan ng military honors. Sundalo po si Marcos. Hindi bayani. At hindi porke sundalo ka bayani ka na.
