Pres. Duterte to Revive the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant
The controversial Bataan Nuclear Power Plant built by one of the most successful President of the Philippines in terms of infrastructure achievement will be revive by the incoming President of the Republic of the Philippines, Pres. Rody Duterte.
The news broke out on social media about the possible revival of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant which was built during the year 1976 but never been used by the Philippine government. According to some sources worked who worked under the Cory Administration, she bowed to stop the supposed using of the nuclear power plant.
Pres. Rody Duterte on his part said that with the growing power crisis in the Philippines particularly in the island of Mindanao, all available sources of electricity must be tapped including the possible use of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant.
Although there are already plans to revive the nuclear power plant, the President-elect also noted that the revival must be plan carefully to avoid the dangers of the nuclear power plant can be made.
Some supporters and believers of President Marcos welcomed the possibility of using the nuclear power plant in Bataan which became a "white elephant" under the succeeding administrations who followed the footsteps of the late Pres. Marcos. Aside from needs of nuclear electricity, netizens also agree to revive the project to avoid more expensive electricity bill charges.
