Cesar Apolinario Reacts to Mayor Duterte's Catcalling on Mariz Umali

Veteran journalist and one of the most prominent GMA News anchor Cesar Apolinario Jr. reacted to the controversial "catcalling" of incoming President Rody Duterte to his fellow journalist and fellow GMA News reporter Mariz Umali during a press conference in Davao City.

The outgoing mayor of Davao City made national headlines anew for her alleged "catcalling" on Mariz Umali which was clearly sensationalized by various national news media in the Philippines. The incident happened during the introduction of the President-elect Rody Duterte of the members of his Cabinet and his plans for a better Philippines.

Instead of focusing on the issues presented by Pres. Duterte, various national media in the Philippines sensationalized the alleged "catcalling" of Mayor Duterte. The incident became the major topics on national TV and print media with some journalists giving their unsolicited advices on the incident.

One of the journalist who reacted with the incident is Cesar Apolinario Jr., who wrote his reactions in the world's largest social network, Facebook to express his side over Mayor Duterte's alleged catcalling with Mariz Umali.

Here's Some Parts of the Cesar Apolinario's Statement on Facebook:

“Mayaman, mahirap..

FOR THE BETTER PHILIPPINES, CHANGE MUST START IN OUR WORKPLACE, IN OUR COMMUNITY, MOST IMPORTANTLY… IN THE COMFORT OF OUR HOME.”
